Kerala Pulissery / Kachiya Moru Recipe

Kerala Pulissery / Kachiya Moru Recipe:




Pulissery is an authentic side dish of Kerala and is an inseparable part of Sadhya, which goes well with rice for lunch.





Ingredients:

Curd – 1 cup (thick)
Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
Shallots – 2 nos
Green chilies – 2 nos
Garlic - 1 tsp(Chopped)
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp.
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
Chili powder - A pinch
Dry Red Chilies – 5 nos.
Shallots - 2 tbsp(Chopped)
Curry leaves –Plenty
Salt – to taste
Coconut Oil – 2 tbsp.

Method of Preparation:

1.Beat the curd and salt keep it aside.



2.Grind grated coconut, ginger,cumin seeds, turmeric powder, green chilies and shallots into smooth fine paste.



3.Mix the paste with the curd ,After beating , the mixture should be of medium consistency.if need add 1/2 cup water along with this curd mixture.



4.Now heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.add dried red chili ,shallots and curry leaves saute when the shallots goes brown in color and aroma.



5. Then Pour the curd mixture into the pan and keep it on a low  flame, stirring continuously, until it becomes warm.(Never allow to boil).



 6.Switch of the flame and cover for few minutes.then Serve with Rice
