Kerala Mutton Curry Recipe

How to Prepare Kerala Style Nadan  Mutton Curry  :




Ingredients:

Mutton(Tender) -  1 lb
Shallots - 20 nos(Cut into small size)
Ginger/Garlic - 1 tbs(Crushed)
Tomato- medium
Green chili- 2 Nos
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Kashmeeri chili powder- 1.5 tbsp
Coriander powder-1 tbs
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Fennel seeds/Permjeerakam- 1/2 tablespoon
Pepper powder- 1/2 tbsp
Cloves- 2
Cinnamon- 1 small stick
Cardamom- 2 
Bay leaves - 2 
Coconut oil- as required
Curry leaves- plenty
Salt- to taste

 Method of Preparation:

1.Heat  oil in a pressure cooker Saute cinnamon,cloves,cardamom  for minutes.
2 . Add sliced onion,green chilly and saute until it turns translucent.add ginger- garlic paste and saute well.

3.Add sliced tomatoes  and saute until it turns soft.



4.Add mutton pieces and mix well,add  masala powders  saute for 5 minutes in medium to low flame.





5.Add curry leaves and salt mix well.
6.Close the cooker and let  it cook for 1 whistles.
7.Switch off the flame now,Open the cooker when the steam releases completely. 



8.Cook on low heat till the gravy thickens and,sprinkle curry leaves and coconut oil ...


  Serve with rice,  and Enjoy!!!

Green Apple Pulissery /Apple Moru curry - Vishu Special Recipe

Vishu Special  Green Apple Pulissery /Apple Moru curry 😊🍓🍒🍎🌻: 






 Ingredients:

Apple(Green or Red)  - 1 no (I used green apple)
Curd - 1/2 cup(thick)
Green chili - 2 nos (cut lengthwise)
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Kashmir red chili powder - a pinch
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Cumin (jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Shallots - 3 nos (Chopped)
Dry red chili - 2 nos
Coconut Oil - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - Plenty
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation:

1. Wash and Peel  Apple and cut into bite size pieces. 




2. Heat a pan  add Apple, green chili, turmeric powder,red chili ,with salt and 1/2 cup water. Cook till the Apple becomes tender and water is almost dried.





3. Grind together coconut and cumin with cup water to a smooth paste. Add ground coconut to buttermilk or whisked yogurt and mix well.
4.Add coconut yogurt mixture to cooked Apple and mix well. Stir continuously and  Don't let it boil. 




5. Heat oil in a pan  and add  mustard , dried red chili, shallots and curry leaves. Fry till the onion turns golden brown.
6. Add this to the  moru curry and mix well.




 Serve along with Rice and Pickle and Enjoy!!!
