Kerala Spicy Kanava/Koonthal/Squid Roast Recipe


Ingredients:

Squid – 1 lb (cleaned and cut into ring shape)
Onion-1/2 cup (chopped)
Ginger/garlic paste -1 tbsp
Green Chili – 2 chopped
Tomatoes – 1/4  (chopped)
Kashmiri Chili Powder – 2 tbsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Fennel Seed Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
Coconut Oil – 1/4 cup
Curry leaves- plenty
Salt to taste




Method of Preparation:

1.Heat oil in a  pan, add the Fennel seed , along with Ginger garlic paste,curry leaves and chilies ,Onion and cook till golden.





2.Now add in Red chili powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder,salt  and  mix well.
3.Now add in tomatoes and cook till mushy.





4.Add squid and mix it well and  cook for 10 mins .




5.Now add in garam masala, fennel seed powder and  Saute well.




 6. Then add pepper powder and saute on high for another  5 mins or so.








                   Serve and Enjoy ...😋😋😋
