Kadachakka/Cheema Chakka/Bread Fruit/ Thoran
Ingredients
Bread fruit – one medium size (Chopped into thin slice)
Onion – 1 small (chopped)
Green chilies - 2 nos(chopped)
Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 1 clove
Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
Dry red chilies – 2 nos
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Coconut Oil – 2 tsp
Salt – To taste
Method of Preparation:
1.Peel the bread fruit and chop them in to small pieces and keep inside the water.
2.Grind the coconut, garlic ,Turmeric ,chili powder and cumin seed as without adding any water.
3.Heat oil in a pan add Urad dal ,mustard seed,dried red chili and curry leaves.
4.Then add Onion and salt mix well and cook until onion gets transferred.
5. Add Coconut mix and saute its 5 mints.
6. Then add Chopped bread fruit along with little water and cover the lid and allow to cook 10 mints.
7.Remove the lid and put the medium flame and fry for few seconds.
Serve with Rice and Enjoy!!!
