Achinga or payaru or long beans  thoran




Ingredients:

Achinga/payar/long Beans - 1 cup
Onion - 1/2 cup 
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
Garlic - 1/4 tsp (chopped) Optional 
Green Chili - 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili powder - 1/4 tsp
mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Dried Red chili - 2 nos
salt to taste
Coconut  oil -1  tbsp
Curry leaves - a spring 

Method of Preparation:

1. Chop finely the beans(achinga payar) into thin roundschop . 




2. Heat oil in a pan.add mustard seeds.when mustard seeds start spluttering add Dried red
chili and chopped onion and curry leaves . saute till Onion become soft . 



3. Add the long beans and mix well  and cook it 5 mints when beans turns soft.






4. Crush the coconut along with turmeric , red chilli,cumin seed and garlic. 



5 . Add coconut mix,stir well.sprinkle little water(if needed),and cover with a lid.  
    cook well till it is dry . 




6 . switch off the flame and sprinkle coconut oil and allow to rest for 5 mints.



                               Serve with rice and Enjoy!!!😋😋😋
