Kanava Thoran / Squid /Coconut Stir fry Recipe

Kanava Thoran / Squid /Coconut Stir fry Recipe:




Ingredients:

Kanava - 1 lb ( cut into small sized)
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
tamarind juice - 1 tbsp
Shallots -  3/4 cup (sliced)
Green chilies - 2 nos
Ginger- 1 tsp (Chopped)
Garlic- 1 tsp(Chopped)
Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri chili powder- 1/2 tsp
Fennel powder- 3/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Dried red chili - 1 no
Fenugreek seeds- 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves- plenty
Salt- To taste
Coconut Oil- 1 tbsp

                                            

Method of Preparation:

1.Take squid in a pan. Add Turmeric powder,Tamarind juice and salt mix well  and cook for 10 mints in medium flame.




2. In a blender Add grated coconut,turmeric powder,chili powder,coriander powder, pepper powder to and  crushed.
3.Heat oil in a pan add Fenugreek seeds , mustard seeds when its splutter add dried red chili along with Onion,Ginger/garlic and green chilies.Saute until onion till transparent.






4. Now add grated coconut and salt to taste.Mix well until combined.




5.Add cooked kanava/squid  Mix well.





6.Then add  Gram masala and Crushed  black pepper  and  combine well .





7. fry it  for few more minutes in high flame ..
