Pavakka Mezhukkupuratti / Bitter Gourd Stir Fry Kerala Recipe



Ingredients :

Bittergourd(Pavakka) –  1 cup (Thin Sliced)
Green Chillies – 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Fennel seed - 1/4 tsp(crushed)  (Optional)
Curry leaves – Plenty
Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt – To taste


Method of Preparation:

1. Wash and cut bitter gourd into thin Slices.


2. Heat oil in a Kadai add Sliced bitter gourd, green chilies and salt mix well.and saute well for 5 mints.


3.Reduce the flame in to low add turmeric,chili powder and curry leaves.combined well.


4.Cover the lid and cook in medium to low flame until bitter-gourd turns brown and crisp.



5.Turn off the flame and add some fennel powder on top of it and keep it mints. and serve                                  Serve it as a side dish along with Rice.....And Enjoy!!!
